Canine cough is a threat... even to vaccinated dogs

This incidence of canine cough is serious and we do not want it at our facility.

If, in the past two weeks, you have taken your dog to public play areas such as the dog park near the Humane Society, the Greenway or Gilbert Park, to Petco, PetSmart or other dog-friendly stores, to another doggie daycare or boarding facility, to a grooming facility, or to any other areas populated by dogs...

PLEASE CALL US BEFORE BRINGING
YOUR DOG TO K9 COUNTRY CLUB.

We will evaluate the risk and let you know
if it's OK to bring your dog here now, or whether your dog will need to wait through a two-week quarantine.

We understand that your dog has been vaccinated (because we require up-to-date vaccinations at all times).

Please understand that most of the dogs who are getting sick have been vaccinated. Vaccination does not guarantee protection. The only way to entirely prevent your dog from getting sick or transmitting the disease to other dogs is by preventing exposure to the disease.

Also... If any of the dogs at our facility develop canine cough, we will have to cancel the barbecue.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call us before bringing your dog to K9 Country Club.

Thank you,
Laurie
